National Play Day comes to East Dorset

Posted on 26 July 2010 by East Dorset District Council

A free event for children and families takes place at Fryers Playing Field, West Moors on Wednesday 4 August.

The National Play Day event runs from 11 am – 3.30 pm and includes such fun items as a climbing wall, play activities, bug hunting, bushcraft and African storytelling. The fabulous Weapons of Sound will also be in attendance, giving young people the opportunity to make a lot of noise!

Creative play opportunities will include banner making, tie dye, face painting, junk modelling and many other fun activities to keep young people playing outdoors.

This event runs with the theme of ‘OUR SPACE’. This is a Lottery funded project led by East Dorset District Council’s Freedom to Play Project.
